Studio Inceptia is an independent French brand identity and art direction studio founded by Alison Robert, creating distinctive visual identities for premium and luxury brands in France and internationally.
An Independent French Brand Identity Studio
Studio Inceptia creates distinctive visual identities for brands seeking more than a beautiful image. I believe that a strong identity begins with clarity: understanding what a brand stands for, what makes it singular, who it speaks to and, above all, how it should be perceived.
Strategy and creative direction are therefore inseparable throughout my process. Every choice, from typography and colour to composition, imagery and materials, is made to express a coherent point of view and create a recognisable visual world.
The result is not simply a logo, but an identity with depth, consistency and the ability to grow with the brand.
Based in France, Studio Inceptia works with founders and businesses across France and internationally.

Alison Robert · Founder & Art Director
Behind the Studio
I’m Alison Robert, the founder and art director behind Studio Inceptia.
With ten years of experience in communication and creative direction, I bring together strategic thinking, visual sensitivity and a highly personal approach to every project.
I work directly with each client, from the first strategic conversations to the final delivery. There are no layers of intermediaries: the person who listens to your vision is also the person who translates it into your identity.

Luxury does not come from a particular serif typeface, a neutral colour palette or a set of predetermined visual codes. It comes from precision: the ability to make every element feel intentional, coherent and unmistakably connected to the brand it represents.
At Studio Inceptia, I approach visual identity as an experience. My role is to find the visual language that feels inevitable for your brand, rather than simply beautiful. Because the strongest identities do not need to explain that they are premium.

Identity, Made to Be Felt.
Meaning. Detail. Distinction.
The logo matters, but so do the space around it, the rhythm of a layout, the texture of a paper, the character of a photograph, the restraint of a colour palette and the way all these elements come together across every touchpoint.

A premium brand is not defined by an aesthetic formula.
From Strategy to a Complete Visual Identity
EXPERTISE Brand Identity· Art Direction
A complete brand identity is more than a collection of graphic elements. It is a coherent visual system designed to translate a positioning, express a personality and create recognition over time.
My work combines strategic thinking and creative direction to build every component around one clear vision.
Brand Identity . Art Direction.
01 · BRAND
STRATEGY
02 · CREATIVE DIRECTION
Building the foundations.
Defining a visual territory.
Positioning, audience, values, personality, competitive environment and desired perception.
Before creating, we define what the brand needs to express and the place it intends to occupy.
Creative concepts, references, mood, visual culture and artistic direction.
This stage translates strategy into a distinctive creative world before the identity itself is developed.
03 · LOGO & BRAND MARKS
Creating recognition.
Primary logo, secondary versions, monograms, signatures and complementary brand marks designed as a coherent system.
04 · TYPOGRAPHY & COLOUR
Giving the brand its voice and atmosphere.
Typography and colour are selected not simply for aesthetic reasons, but for what they communicate and how they shape perception.
05 · VISUAL
LANGUAGE
06 · PHOTOGRAPHIC
ART DIRECTION
07 · BRAND GUIDELINES
Creating a world beyond the logo.
Defining how the brand should be seen.
Protecting consistency over time.
Graphic elements, compositions, patterns, textures and principles that make the identity recognisable even when the logo is absent.
Image references, lighting, framing, materials, atmosphere and photographic principles designed to extend the identity into imagery.
A comprehensive visual guide bringing together the principles, assets and usage rules needed to keep the brand coherent as it evolves.
08 · BRAND APPLICATIONS
Bringing the identity into the real world.
Depending on the project, the visual identity can be extended to stationery, packaging, menus, signage, printed collateral and selected digital touchpoints.

Different Worlds.
The Same Attention to Meaning and Detail.
Studio Inceptia works with premium and luxury brands where perception, experience and visual culture play an essential role.
My approach is not defined by one industry or one predetermined aesthetic. Each identity is shaped by the specific codes, audience, story and ambitions of the brand.
SELECTED FIELDS OF EXPERTISE

_edited.jpg)
HOSPITALITY
Boutique hotels · Guesthouses · Private estates · Retreats
For hospitality brands, identity becomes part of the experience itself: from the first digital encounter to the details discovered within a place. The visual language must express not only where guests will stay, but how the place should make them feel.

CRAFTSMANSHIP & ART DE VIVRE
Craft · Heritage · Equestrian · Exceptional savoir-faire
Studio Inceptia is particularly drawn to brands where the hand, the material, the gesture and the story behind an object or experience carry meaning.
Art de vivre, in the French sense of the term, is not simply a sector. It is a particular attention to beauty, experience and the details that make everyday life distinctive.
THE INCEPTIA METHOD
Strategy First.
Creativity with Intention.
The Inceptia Method is the strategic and creative process I use to build identities with depth, coherence and longevity.
Every project is different, but the principle remains the same: understand before creating.
01 · IMMERSE
Understanding your world.
Your story, ambitions, audience, environment, references and challenges.
The objective is to understand not only what your brand is, but what it needs to become.
02 · DEFINE
Clarifying the positioning.
Together, we identify the foundations that will guide the creative process: personality, differentiation, desired perception and strategic direction.
03 · EXPLORE
Opening the creative territory.
I translate the strategic foundations into carefully considered creative directions.
These initial territories allow us to explore the visual possibilities before committing to one creative path.
04 · CREATE
Building the identity.
Logo, typography, colour, visual language and art direction come together as one coherent system.
Every element is considered in relation to the others.
05 · REFINE
Perfecting the details.
We refine the selected direction, making the adjustments required to reach the right balance between expression, function and longevity.
06 · DEPLOY
Creating consistency.
The identity is documented and prepared for use, with the appropriate files, guidelines and applications required for your project.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Before we work together
What does a complete brand identity include?
A complete brand identity goes far beyond a logo. Depending on the scope of the project, it can include strategic foundations, creative direction, logo and brand marks, typography, colour palette, graphic language, photographic art direction, brand guidelines and selected applications.
The objective is to create a coherent visual system that allows the brand to remain recognisable across every relevant touchpoint.
What is the difference between a logo and a brand identity?
A logo is one identifying element within a much broader visual system.
A brand identity defines how the brand looks and feels as a whole: its typography, colours, compositions, imagery, graphic elements and principles of art direction.
A strong identity should therefore remain recognisable even when the logo itself is not visible.
Do you only work with luxury brands?
No. Studio Inceptia works primarily with premium, high-end and luxury brands, as well as ambitious businesses seeking to reposition themselves at a higher level.
What matters most is the intention behind the project: the desire to build a distinctive, considered identity and invest in long-term brand perception.
Which industries do you specialise in?
Studio Inceptia works across several premium sectors, with particular experience in hospitality, gastronomy and wine, beauty and fragrance, fashion and lifestyle, interiors and design, craftsmanship and art de vivre.
Rather than applying the same aesthetic across these industries, each project begins with an understanding of its own culture, audience and competitive environment.
Can you work with international clients?
Yes. Studio Inceptia is based in France and works with clients internationally.
The entire brand identity process can be conducted remotely, from strategic discovery and creative presentations to feedback, refinement and final delivery.
Can the project be conducted entirely in English?
Yes. Meetings, questionnaires, presentations, written communication and brand guidelines can all be provided in English.
How much does a brand identity cost?
Studio Inceptia's brand identity projects currently begin at €2,500 excl. VAT.
The final investment depends on the strategic depth, creative scope and applications required. Additional requirements such as packaging, printed collateral or specific brand applications can be quoted separately.
